About the opportunity

The Sales Manager at foodpanda is pivotal to our commercial growth and market expansion. Reporting to the Group Field Sales Lead, this role offers a unique perspective on our operations, encompassing commercial strategies and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Guide Field Sales Representatives toward partner acquisition, sales data management, market and competitor analysis, and lead generation.
  • Account Management: Collaborate with the commercial account management team on promotional deals, partner rewards, and strategic partner promotions to enhance market presence.
  • Growth Marketing: Work with marketing to boost brand presence, leverage local influencers for targeted outreach, cultivate partner pride, and foster customer loyalty. Ensure revenue growth from new partners within the state.
  • Location: Based in Penang with inter-state travel as required.
  • Work Environment: Combines office-based strategy with field operations for a dynamic setting.

What you need to be successful

  • Proven sales or relevant field experience, preferably in food tech.
  • Minimum 1 year in team management, overseeing 5 to 8 sales executives.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial and marketing techniques and team motivation.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
