About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Manager to lead our commercial expansion in East Malaysia. This role involves spearheading sales plans, developing high-impact client relationships, and expanding our presence in key industries such as Oil & Gas, Plantation, and Mining.
You will take charge of sales forecasting, lead generation, client retention, and strategic negotiations. This is a critical role with significant influence on revenue, partnerships, and regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals
Collaborate with senior leadership on payment, credit terms, and collections
Maintain strong sales funnels and provide accurate forecasts (quarterly and annual)
Generate new business through personal network and sales platforms
Manage client relationships and ensure high satisfaction and retention
Monitor market trends and competitors, producing regular insight reports
Ensure all sales activity complies with internal procedures and HSE policies
Deliver results against KPIs including customer engagement, sales targets, and growth
Present compelling proposals, negotiate effectively, and secure deals
Manage territory and portfolio growth according to regional plans
Core Requirements & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
5–8 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in Oil & Gas, and/or, Plantation, Mining with Telecommunication (optional) sales experience
Strong executive-level presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills
Proven success in client acquisition, retention, and market expansion
Understanding and network within downstream industries (e.g. government bodies, plantations)
Fluent in English (written & verbal); other ASEAN languages a plus
Goal-oriented, strategic thinker, and self-motivated
Able to work independently and collaborate across levels
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Must be a Sarawakian citizen
