Job description

  • The Sales Manager (CSM) is responsible for supervising and organizing the channel sales team comprising Channel Managers & Sales Support.
  • The SM will be in charge of managing organizational sales by analyzing market trends and accordingly developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with the marketing/trade department in driving the domestic state marketing activities to increase brand awareness.
  • The SM will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of the channel sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the ongoing training of the channel sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales & revenue targets.
  • Meeting planned sales goals.
  • Setting individual sales targets with the channel sales team.
  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the channel sales team & track sales goals.
  • Coordinating with marketing/trade on brand awareness.
  • Responsible for the ongoing training & staffing of the channel sales team.
  • Developing the channel sales team through motivation, counseling and product knowledge & SOP education.
  • Evaluate partner sales performance and recommend improvements.
  • Educate partners about product portfolio and complimentary services offered.
  • Address partner-related issues and sales conflicts promptly.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the marketplace and competitor activities.
  • Communicate up-to-date information about new products and enhancements to partners.
  • Develop process improvements to optimize partner management activities.
  • Work with partners to develop go-to-market proposals for management approval and subsequent execution.
  • Deliver customer presentations and attend sales meetings and partner conferences.
  • Promoting the organization and products by building rapport & collaborating with domestic businesses and the local media.
  • Assist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows, campaigns, and other promotional activities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration/Management/Account/Finance.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant sales experience including management, business development, sales, and account management.
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strength in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferably Telco background.
