Overlooking the Cruise Ship Harbour and Penang Bridge, the hotel is strategically located in the city's financial district with easy access to government offices, business, dining, retail, and entertainment outlets. The unique historical and architectural buildings in George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, create a captivating backdrop for guests.

Role Description;

Primarily promote the hotel and, where possible, hotels belonging to the chain in your area/region. This position is accountable for producing individual/group business based on an established core of top-producing key accounts and managing high-potential key prospects.

Key Responsibilities;

  1. Analyze hotel performance and develop strategies to increase sales and meet established goals.
  2. Build relationships with guests and clients to increase repeat bookings and generate new business through referrals, networking, and cold calling.
  3. Organize regular sales visits to foster good relationships with all clients.
  4. Prepare quotations and contracts for clients.
  5. Visit and contract with clients.
  6. Conduct site inspections and entertain clients during their visits to the hotel.
  7. Liaise with clients on accommodation and event matters.
  8. Familiarize with the operation and application of the hotel’s computer system.
  9. Stay well-informed about daily operations of key departments such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, etc.
  10. Promote special deals and new promotional rates to clients.

Qualifications;

  • Diploma or Degree, preferably in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in sales or a related role within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with clients and internal teams.
