Qualifications

About the role

You’ll be a key member of the country Finance Leadership Team with accountability for managing and coordinating the overall trade spend process i.e Trade Spend Review, ROI, Annual Budgets which are aligned within the global trade policy. You will manage a team of ensuring top quality financial support and advice is provided to support effective decision-making within the business.

Your responsibilities
  • Monitors trade spend, fostering a mentality of “challenging the usual” when examining Trade Spend patterns and instil business manager behaviour / ROI culture and create P&L awareness across the organisation.
  • Review net revenue and trade spend assessment for monthly closing
  • Analyses and interprets information on trade investment performance and report trade investment trends that need business attention
  • Management and optimization of trade spend targets, ensuring they are in line with objectives
  • Assist to enforce current trade spend control process and look into opportunity to strengthen trade spend control
  • Strengthen control in trade returns charge to trade spend bucket and perform sufficient checks to minimize the activities
  • Responsible for analyzing and sharing insights on current financial and non- financial performance trends and recommending winning solutions to the Leadership Team.
  • Responsible for managing client relationships and working with relevant stakeholders to identify areas of business growth.
  • Verify against trading term, to advise sales team for any missing term not created
  • Advise and monitor sales finance team to resolve any customer financial related issues
  • Leads, develops, and manages Sales Finance team
The experience we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Accountancy from a recognized university
  • Accredited member of an internationally recognized CPA organization
  • At least 7 years working experience preferably with a blue-chip consumer goods company
  • Exposure/working knowledge of ERP systems, Hyperion and Microsoft office (advanced level).
  • In depth understanding of respective Finance function processes.
  • Credible commercial and business awareness with strong understanding of business processes and operations, particularly FMCG.
  • Flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Energetic with excellent interpersonal & leadership skills, able to influence people of all levels
  • Ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in business processes
  • Able to cope under continues pressure and to deliver upon tight reporting deadlines
