Job description

Responsible for purchases of ferrous scrap metal based on pricing, specification, and quality standards established by company policy.

Develop business growth of existing accounts (scrap metal generators) and prospect new potential accounts in a dedicated region.

Visit clients regularly and gather market intelligence on industry activities.

Maintain records of all buying, sourcing, and prospecting activities, including closed sales and follow-up activities.

Ensure smooth delivery of orders from/to supplier sites.

Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned by immediate superiors.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Mandarin (preferred), English, Bahasa Malaysia, or dialects; candidates proficient in Mandarin are preferred for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Experience in the scrap metal or steel industry is highly advantageous but not essential.
• Possess a valid driving license and own transportation.
• Willingness to travel outstation when needed.
• Experience working in a publicly listed company, especially the largest scrap metal trader in Malaysia, is a plus.
