About the role

Greenpac (Packaging) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a driven and ambitious Sales Executive to join our team in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and cultivating strong, lasting relationships with our valued customers. What you'll be doing

  1. Proactively seek out new prospects to expand our customer base in the packaging industry.
  2. Collaborate with the Chief Customer Officer and the management team to create and execute sales strategies.
  3. Foster long-term partnerships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and continued business growth.
  4. Build and manage a sales pipeline, set budgets, and track performance to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded, driving profitable growth.
  5. Use a consultative selling approach to understand customer needs and provide tailored proposals that align with our product offerings, including packaging solutions, logistics, and sustainable packaging.
  6. Evaluate project financials (such as revenue, margins, and profitability) and prepare business cases, including pricing and costs, for approval by management.
  7. Work closely with our operations, procurement, production, and customer service teams to ensure smooth processing and exceptional service delivery.
  8. Proactively address concerns and ensure the quick and effective resolution of customer issues.
  9. Monitor competitor activity and industry trends, adjusting sales strategies to maintain competitiveness and relevance in the marketplace.
  10. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management, providing insights into performance and future sales projections.
  11. Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  1. A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the B2B or industrial sales environment.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence customers.
  3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and achieving successful sales outcomes.
  4. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills to handle customer objections and close deals.
  5. Proficient in using CRM software and other sales-related tools and technologies.
  6. A self-motivated and driven individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
