About the opportunity

We are looking for a Sales Executive based in Bangsar South, covering the Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur zone. The role involves convincing the best restaurants in Malaysia to join foodpanda. The Sales Executive will report to the Sales Team Lead in the Commercial department.

Responsibilities
  • Drive B2B sales by seeking and securing new vendor partnerships.
  • Have a passion and keen interest in the food and beverage industry, aiming to sign up top local and international vendors.
  • Be a local market expert: Know the best restaurants and shops in Malaysia and provide recommendations.
  • Gather feedback from restaurants and shops, monitor competitor activities, and suggest improvements to management.
  • Act as a brand ambassador: conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings, and sell foodpanda services to potential vendors, including tiptop shops and restaurants in Malaysia.
  • Exceed sales targets and performance goals while working independently.

  • Manage a portfolio of restaurant and shop accounts, exceeding goals for retention, development, and maintenance.
What you need to be successful
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in consulting, e-commerce, or startup environments preferred.
  • Flexibility to accommodate restaurant operating hours, which may not be 9-to-5.
  • Outgoing, confident in appearance, and great communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and under pressure.
  • Proactive and capable of leading independent projects.
  • An innovative thinker eager to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/tech environments is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and additional languages are a bonus.
