Job Description

- Reporting to the ABU – Sales Manager, responsible for creating and maintaining a sufficient quantity and quality of customer contacts and relationships within their designated geographical region.

- Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of all staff based in the office.

A. Principal Duties and Tasks

  • Achieve the annual budgeted sales turnover and profitability for the region.
  • Develop new project sales with the support of the ABUs and SBUs team members.
  • Develop a new customer base in the region.
  • Implement sales and marketing objectives for customer groups, jointly with the ABUs and SBUs team members.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships within the region.
  • Respond effectively to regional market conditions and customer requirements.
  • Work effectively with other team members to maintain and develop customer relationships across geographical boundaries.
  • Conduct product presentations to potential clients (contractors, developers).
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial and project teams to ensure timely project delivery.

B. Planning

  • Provide sales and market input for the Annual Budget in collaboration with superiors.
  • Communicate product requirements (Min/Max forecast) to ensure timely product availability.
  • Assist in executing market studies under the direction of the GM.

C. Marketing and Sales

  • Work with the ABUs and SBUs to meet their specific customer group or target market sales objectives related to their budgets.
  • Ensure timely collection of all overdue monies from customer accounts.

D. Others

  • Perform any other related tasks as requested.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must have at least a Degree or diploma with experience in Engineering, Construction, or Construction materials (preferable).
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar industry.
  • Excellent computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel when required.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or local dialects is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
