Our client is a renowned manufacturer in Vacuum Services.

We are seeking an exceptional Sales Engineer to grow the VTS business through direct selling to new and existing accounts. This involves implementing strategic sales and pricing plans and promoting service products and spares in the region.

The Challenges

  • Increase in-house and field service revenue using all available service resources (STC, direct, field service, and third parties where applicable).
  • Support the regional distribution network to grow indirect service sales and provide technical support as needed.
  • Retain and support existing business with a focus on growth in margins, contract terms, and coverage.
  • Support new product sales for major bids where service profile is key to winning business and maintaining the reputation of the VTS Service Business.
  • Develop market intelligence to better understand customer needs and trends.
  • Report on competitor OEM and third-party service activities.
  • Provide timely reports on service sales performance and maintain an updated list of customer contacts and machine populations.
  • Manage account receivables and overdue accounts to protect working capital.
  • Develop partnerships with the equipment sales and service operations teams to offer total solutions to customers.
  • Provide product training, installation, and commissioning support in conjunction with the service operations team.
  • Develop third-party service providers in regions lacking local expertise, either through direct support or distribution channels.
  • Support and foster a team-oriented culture emphasizing open communication, fairness, and respect.
  • Ensure operational integrity and transparency, adhering to our Business Code of Practice.


What It Takes

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in service business, including supporting or selling commercial proposals, or 3 years of direct equipment service sales.
  • Recognized mechanical/electronics trade qualification or similar preferred.
  • Experience with VT-branded equipment is highly advantageous.
  • Regional experience in SEA is a plus.
  • Good understanding of vacuum applications.
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ambitious with clear goals and targets.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, meticulous, and a strong team player.
