About the role

As a Sales Engineer - PRO at Mettler-Toledo (M) Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for driving sales and supporting the company's growing business in the Petaling Selangor region. This full-time position requires a motivated and technically-skilled individual who can effectively engage with customers, provide expert product demonstrations, and deliver tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Actively prospecting and identifying new sales opportunities within your assigned territory
  • Conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the features and benefits of Mettler-Toledo's market-leading solutions
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and providing consultative guidance on the most suitable products and services
  • Preparing accurate quotations and proposals, and negotiating contract terms to secure new business
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and providing exceptional post-sales support
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities and new product developments
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the business

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, sales or a related technical field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably within the industrial automation or instrumentation sector
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly understand complex products and applications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers at all levels
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling, solution-based selling and account management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • A proactive, customer-centric mindset and the drive to exceed sales targets
