Job description

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving business growth by combining technical expertise with strong sales skills. This role involves understanding customer needs, proposing tailored EV charging solutions, and acting as a liaison between technical and sales teams. The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in promoting the company’s EV charging products and services, building relationships with clients, and ensuring successful project implementation.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the EV charging industry.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  3. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to client needs.
  4. Understand the company’s EV chargers, software, and installation processes.
  5. Provide technical advice and solutions to customers, addressing their requirements and concerns.
  6. Act as the main point of contact for technical inquiries during the sales process.
  7. Assist clients with troubleshooting and provide pre-and post-sales technical support.
  8. Work with internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of customer projects.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and advancements in EV charging technology.
  10. Collect feedback from customers to inform product development and improve service offerings.
  11. Prepare reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts for management review.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales.
  3. Strong understanding of EV charging systems, renewable energy solutions and related technologies.
  4. Ability to interpret technical specifications and explain them to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  6. Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationship.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to analyze customer needs and design tailored solutions.
  9. Willingness to travel to meet clients and visit project sites.
