The role is responsible for achieving sales and income targets by identifying your sales pipeline and qualifying opportunities for the range of products sold and assigned by the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Initiates, promotes, and develops sales opportunities by undertaking daily customer visits, telephone calls, and/or meetings (physical and/or online) to solicit for repeat, increased, and/or new product sales to achieve the income targets set by the Company.
  2. Manages and drives the growth of existing accounts and the product mix of customers according to annual targets.
  3. Plans with the Sales Manager to develop and enhance business competitiveness and profitability through customer, competitor, and market intelligence, effective sales strategies, and marketing mix.
  4. Identifies and establishes new customers and business opportunities to ensure successful market penetration and development, especially in the project and end-user markets.
  5. Establishes good rapport with various LAPP organizations and other suppliers (if any), liaising with them regarding customer needs.
  6. Plans and conducts technical seminars or solutions/product demonstrations to prospective customers professionally.
  7. Conducts regular customer visits, updates the C4C system with accurate and complete information, and fosters healthy customer relations to support long-term sales objectives.
  8. Acquires in-depth knowledge of customers’ businesses, behaviors, and company structures to provide solutions through efficient technical and commercial support.
  9. Prepares product costing and quotations for customers.
  10. Attends to customer complaints and inquiries professionally and with integrity.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 2 years of sales experience in related fields such as process automation, system integration/design, or heavy industry.
  2. Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent is required.
  3. Good communication skills are essential.
  4. Languages required: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin for communicating with Mandarin-proficient clients.
  5. Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills in English.
  6. Friendly, proactive, and a good team player.
