Role Overview
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) focusing on the Malaysia market, you’ll play a critical role in building and qualifying TruTrip’s sales pipeline. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential clients—prospecting, initiating conversations, and driving interest in TruTrip’s solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who is hungry for success, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys turning cold leads into warm opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify high-potential target accounts across Malaysia and nearby markets.
- Reach out via email, LinkedIn, and calls to qualify inbound and outbound leads.
- Run prospecting sequences using tools like Apollo, LinkedIn, and CRM.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand a company’s travel pain points and processes.
- Book quality demos and hand off qualified leads to the Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate lead data and activity records in the CRM.
- Collaborate with marketing and BD teams to refine messaging and improve targeting for the Malaysia market.
- Report weekly performance on KPIs such as outreach volume, meetings booked, and conversion rate.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or SDR role (preferably SaaS and/or travel-related), or performing at the level of an experienced SDR.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable speaking with decision-makers.
- Confident in making outbound calls, running cold outreach, and handling objections.
- Good understanding of the corporate landscape in Malaysia, including GLCs, MNCs, and private Sdn. Bhd. companies.
- Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Zoho (or similar CRMs).
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Curious, persistent, and goal-oriented.
- Experience or interest in travel and technology.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and outreach effectiveness.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.
