Minimum Education: Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in interior design sales or renovation/build industry is preferred. Fresh graduates with strong portfolios are welcome to apply.
Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of space planning, material selection, and renovation processes. Able to propose suitable design solutions based on client needs.
Sales Skills: Excellent communication and persuasion skills with the ability to close deals and achieve monthly sales targets.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, or similar tools. Ability to prepare basic layout drawings and mood boards.
Client Handling: Strong interpersonal skills to handle client consultations, site visits, and follow-up appointments professionally.
Time Management: Able to manage multiple projects, clients, and deadlines simultaneously.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project, design, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth execution of renovation works.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address client concerns, propose alternative solutions, and handle objections effectively.
Language Proficiency: Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage to communicate with a wider range of clients.
Own Transport: Must possess own transport and be willing to travel for site visits and client meetings.
Positive Attitude: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about design and customer satisfaction.
1. Meet and Consult with Clients
Conduct meetings to understand clients’ renovation needs, style preferences, space requirements, and budget.
2. Provide Design Proposals
Develop and present initial design concepts, layout plans, and mood boards that meet client expectations.
3. Handle Sales Process from A to Z
Manage the entire sales cycle including follow-ups, negotiations, contract signing, and closing the deal.
4. Site Visits and Measurements
Attend site visits to take measurements, evaluate space conditions, and provide design input.
5. Liaise with Internal Teams
Coordinate with interior designers, project managers, and the purchasing department to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Update Clients on Progress
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns throughout the project timeline.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by the company.
8. Maintain Client Relationships
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients to generate referrals and repeat business.
9. Attend Training and Meetings
Participate in regular team meetings, product training, and site briefings to stay updated on trends and project developments.
10. Stay Updated with Market Trends
Keep up with industry trends, new materials, and renovation ideas to provide fresh and innovative solutions.
