Job summary

SHIRANOE SDN. BHD. is recruiting a Sales Assistant for our Genting Highlands store. This full-time role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and driving sales in a dynamic retail environment.

You will greet shoppers, handle transactions, keep displays inviting, and support stock management. Bahasa Malaysia and English are required, with Mandarin a strong advantage; shifts include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• SPM or higher education required; fresh graduates welcome.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join the retail team at Scholl and Moodboard in Genting Highlands, Pahang. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of customer service and sales within the retail and consumer products sector. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional shopping experiences and driving sales performance for our store. Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction, store operations and the overall success of our retail business.

Key responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service by greeting, assisting and attending to customer inquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner
• Processing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash, card and other payment methods securely
• Maintaining product displays and ensuring shelves are well-stocked, organised and visually appealing at all times
• Performing inventory checks and assisting with stock management to ensure product availability
• Promoting products and services to customers, including suggesting items and highlighting special offers or promotions
• Operating the till efficiently and accurately, balancing the cash drawer at the end of shifts
• Keeping the sales floor clean, tidy and safe for customers and staff
• Building positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty
• Assisting with receiving and unpacking deliveries, and processing new stock items
• Following company policies, procedures and security protocols at all times

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with diverse customers
• SPM or above; fresh graduates welcome
• Retail or customer service experience is an advantage, but full training is provided
• Friendly, confident and enjoys talking to people
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is a strong advantage (many Genting shoppers are mandarin-speaking tourists)
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Willing to be based in Genting Highlands
