The new role:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Set sales goals and performance benchmarks, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales approaches.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Business Director to ensure sales initiatives support company-wide goals.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Lead new client acquisition efforts, maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
- Negotiate and close contracts that align with business and financial targets.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and expand networks.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous coaching and professional development.
- Ensure team activities align with company goals and that individual targets are met.
- Work closely with marketing teams to drive lead generation and develop sales- support materials.
- Provide regular sales reports, market insights, and forecasts to the executive team.
- Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field. A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the IT, cloud services, or data center industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Experience managing high-level client relationships and negotiating large-scale contracts.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with a strong business acumen.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales technologies.
