Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in construction safety, preferably in road or highway projects.
• Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Company Background:

We are representing our established client in civil engineering construction industry. They are specialize in constructing road, bridges, airport road and maintenance of highway. As they continue to expand, they are looking for suitable civil engineer candidate to join them as Site Supervisor (Pavement/Highway/Roadwork Construction)

Job Description:

• Existence and awareness of a suitable and relevant health and safety policy.
• Provision of suitable and current information and supervision concerning health and safety policies and practices.
• A safe workplace without risk to health
• Safe plant and machinery, and safe movement, storage and use of articles and substances
• Adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities and support
• Proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments
• Provision of emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment, and incident reporting to the relevant authorities
• Liaison as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities, and assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions
• The workplace satisfies health, safety and welfare requirements for ventilation, temperature, lighting, sanitary, washing and rest facilities
• Prevention and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks
• Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Safety, or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in construction safety, preferably in road or highway projects
• Knowledge of health and safety laws and construction site practices
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures
• Good communication skills to work with teams and authorities
• Able to perform site inspections and prepare safety reports
• Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Job Details:

• Working hours : Mon - Sat (8am - 5pm)
• Fixed Term contract : 1 year (Renewable)
