Safety Service Engineer (SIS)- Bintulu

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Safety Service Engineer (SIS) located in Bintulu. The role involves troubleshooting, field service, communication, technical support, and maintenance & repair tasks related to safety-related automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite engineering and service activities at customer premises, including testing and commissioning, and ensure work safety practice.
• Produce and test programmable logic code based on engineering standards, integration with third party systems and involvement in simulation and testing of system hardware / software with various stakeholders.
• Produce documentation such as functional logic specifications, software design descriptions, software quality assurance documents and test procedures.
• Provide technical support, including 24/7 support, training, and site surveys.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, partners, project team and project manager.
• Produce hardware/software design specifications, SCR's, project documentations such as but not limited to execution plans, quality plans, FAT and SAT procedures, verification and validation plans.
• Plan and implement assigned project activities, Functional Safety Management, Cyber Security plans, ensure project execution follow functional safety requirements & company policies
• Provide technical support, site surveys etc. Liaise with customers, suppliers, partners, project team and project manager on technical & engineering aspects.

Qualifications

• Degree in the field of Electrical / Electronics / Control / Instrumentation Engineering.
• Malaysian citizen (Sarawakian) is a must.
• Fluency in English & Malay (spoken and written) is essential.
• Minimum 2 Years in Safety System Industry (PLC).
• Experience in engineering and programming for industrial safety controllers is preferred.
• Familiar with FSM (IEC 61508/61511) and Security (IEC 62443) are preferred.
• Troubleshooting, Field Service, and Technical Support skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
