This individual will develop security policies, manage a security team, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate must have experience in the hospitality sector and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

A Safety & Security Manager in a hotel isresponsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employee, and the hotel property.This includes developing and implementing security policies, conducting risk assessments, managing security team, and responding to incidents.They also play a crucial role in emergency preparedness and response.
Direct and coordinate the activities of all security personnel.
Develop, implement and monitor safety and security policies and procedures for the hotel.
Coordinate and lead the hotel's security team, including scheduling, training and performance management.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks
Liaise with local authorities and emergency services to ensure effective emergency response plans are in place.
Investigate and document any incidents or security breaches, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure the safety and security of guests, employee, visitors and contractors at all times.
Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting or loitering around the hotel public or guest areas.
Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well-being of guests and employees.
Track departmental safety records and document medically treated and non-treated injuries.
Lead the OSH Meeting and Fire Safety Meeting.
Oversees first aid program for guests and employees.
Ensure compliance with all security standards and preventative measures.
Monitor and follow proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property.
Conduct investigations and compile reports in a timely manner for any theft, loss, accident or any aspect that risks the safety of the hotel.
Handling complaints, settling disputes, resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Develops and maintains a monthly checklist for all CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and panic/duress alarms to ensure that they are fully functional.
Conduct regular fire evacuation drills as per the hotel’s emergency standards.
Establish crisis management and contingency planning.
Conduct regular walk-through rounds to observe the entire hotel.
Supervision of all Security Personnel and gave clear direction on all security-related aspects.
Coordinate with external police authorities in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents and etc.
Monitor and report on the hotel's safety and security performance.
Be available 24 hours a day for genuine emergencies within the property.
Stay up to date with relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Cert/Diploma in Security Management, Occupational Safety & Health or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar safety and security management role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of safety and security regulations, protocols and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
Proficiency in Computers, CCTV, Fire and Safety systems.
Relevant qualifications in security management, risk management or a related field.
