Position Summary

The Safety & Security Manager role is to drive and maintain a culture of 'Safety First', and proactively provide leadership and guidance on security matters, policy and security risks within LLM Resort. You are to develop and maintain the Merlin & local security strategy to ensure a high standard safety and focus on creating a culture of safety first and ensuring that there is continuous improvement on these initiatives. You will be working closely with the team in achieving the departmental objective. You are expected to demonstrate high level of integrity, adopt transparency, be resourceful, decisive, quick thinking in problem solving and work independently.

Responsibilities

  1. Hire, train, and supervise a team of Supervisors and Park Rangers/Security Officers/First Aiders and Medical Team.
  2. Responsible and accountable for LLM’s security 24/7.
  3. Responsible for training, development, performance management, team building, and other people management activities.
  4. Responsible for administering and maintaining effective security measures.
  5. Develop and maintain a proactive loss prevention program to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  6. Revise and advise on emergency procedures to promote safe work practices.
  7. Review security measures regularly for protective and preventive purposes.
  8. Maintain tight security controls on personnel entering, exiting, or loitering around the park and hotel.
  9. Establish good relationships with police, fire departments, and local authorities on security matters.
  10. Organize safety meetings to enforce safety programs.
  11. Coordinate safety and security programs, including lost and found, locker issuance, chemical safety, evacuation drills, etc.
  12. Handle unruly guest and employee behavior, crowd and traffic control.
  13. Investigate accidents, thefts, and other incidents, and prepare reports.
  14. Conduct park walk-throughs for safety observations.
  15. Provide safety signage and barriers to prevent hazards.
  16. Secure facilities and monitor surveillance and access points.
  17. Prepare incident reports and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
  18. Manage emergency responses in coordination with management.
  19. Oversee the First Aid Facility and its administration.
  20. Advise management on security and safety issues, including fraud and theft prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with safety certification.
  • Law enforcement or security background preferred, with experience managing security staff.
  • Proven success in safety and security management in similar environments.
  • Experience with risk reduction and safety initiatives.
  • Good relationships with insurance and legal entities.
  • Extensive knowledge of theme park operations.
  • First Aid and security knowledge.
  • Strong network with local and regional authorities.
