A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Safety and Health Officer to oversee EHS compliance and practices. You will be responsible for implementing safety programs, leading the safety committee, and conducting audits to ensure adherence to legal standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Safety & Health Officer certificate and have strong skills in communication, teamwork, and report writing. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working both independently and collaboratively within the team.

Job description

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Environment, Safety & Health (EHS) Department within a manufacturing environment.

Possess a registered Safety & Health Officer certificate from the relevant legal authority.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.

Performance-oriented with strong initiative, a team player, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to deliver presentations to management.

Other Requirements:

  • Ensure EHS program and procedure implementation to comply with company safety and health standards (licenses, registrations, permits, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 management systems).
  • Lead Safety/EHS committee teams to manage all safety and health aspects within local regulatory frameworks (OSHA, FMA, DOSH, DOE, Bomba & AELB).
  • Perform site EHS verification processes including sampling, inspections, and regular compliance audits.
  • Assist operations and maintenance teams in safety and health assessments, trainings, equipment maintenance, and regulation implementation.
  • Supervise and monitor high-risk work activities.
  • Lead incident investigation teams, identify root causes, and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare weekly or monthly reports for management review.
