Job summary

A leading company in pre-cast concrete manufacturing seeks a Safety Officer to oversee safety compliance and training. Responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, documenting safety records, and ensuring adherence to regulations. Ideal candidates possess a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health and relevant experience, including familiarity with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Completed Safety and Health Officer training with NIOSH Malaysia.
• Familiar with OSHA 1994 and other Malaysian regulations.

· Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

· Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across the manufacturing plant.

· Identify hazards and assess risks associated with manufacturing processes and equipment.

· Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce risks.

· Maintain safety records, incident reports, and safety training logs.

· Conduct safety inductions and regular training for new and existing employees.

· Lead accident/incident investigations and ensure proper reporting and follow-up.

· Liaise with government agencies (e.g., DOSH, DOE) and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

· Participate in safety committee meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

· Develop and review emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

Requirements:

· Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related field

· Undergone Safety and Health Officer (SHO) training with NIOSH Malaysia

· Fresh graduates without Safety Green Book are encouraged to apply

· Similar working experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment will be an added advantage

· Familiar with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, EQA 1974, and other applicable Malaysian regulations

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Analytical and problem-solving skills

· Attention to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and report writing
