Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team at TRANS PACIFIC TEXTILE (M) SDN. BHD.' in Kluang District Johor. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees.

What you'll be doing

• Implementing and maintaining safety policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety within the organisation
• Conducting regular risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate risks
• Providing safety training and education to employees to enhance their knowledge and awareness of health and safety practices
• Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Collaborating with management and employees to identify and address safety concerns
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations like DOSH, DOE, Bomba and industry standards
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety activities

What we're looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
• Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar safety coordinator or health and safety officer role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, industry best practices and risk management principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify and address safety issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with safety management software
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate records and documentation
