Overview

Join Our Growing Team as a Safety & Health Officer!

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Conduct site induction training for company and subcontractor personnel.
  2. Prepare Project Monthly HSE Report and Project HSE Program.
  3. Assist supervision and workers in risk identification and job hazard analysis.
  4. Report all safety non-compliance to the Project Manager and subcontractors.
  5. Facilitate the site Safety Committee, including agenda setting, toolbox meeting topics, and involvement of Safety and Health Representatives.
  6. Serve as Secretary of the Safety & Health Committee.
  7. Assist in the preparation of the company HSE documentation under the direction of the HSE Manager.
  8. Provide advice and support to the Project Manager for the implementation and auditing of the Health, Safety, Security & Environment Management Plan.
  9. Maintain accountability of line management personnel for Health, Safety, Security & Environment.
  10. Identify safety training needs and coordinate sessions/courses for site personnel.
  11. Monitor compliance with the Safety & Health Program requirements.
  12. Ensure adherence to specified procedures, safe work standards, and statutory requirements.
  13. Implement and communicate compliance requirements for Safety Procedures and work standards.
  14. Advise on all project-related Health, Safety, Security & Environment issues.
  15. Promote safety education and awareness to support effective safety management.
  16. Liaise with relevant authorities such as DOSH, DOE, CIDB, and local authorities regarding occupational safety, health, and environment.
  17. Lead accident investigations and prepare reports with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For
  1. Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline, or management with a safety and health officer certificate recognized by NIOSH or DOSH.
  2. Registered with DOSH as a Safety Officer (valid SHO registration).
  3. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in safety and health matters.
