An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Safety & Health Officer with a valid Green Book to ensure safety compliance on construction sites. This role involves conducting safety reviews, managing site logistics, and overseeing training sessions for construction teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in construction safety, particularly with high-rise buildings. Design safety reviews and provide inputs for detailed HAZOP studies.
Monitor site logistics, including personnel, vehicle, and material movements and control.
Manage construction waste disposal.
Oversee construction safety and reporting.
Provide site induction training for construction teams.
Conduct toolbox meetings focused on construction and safety.
Approve and issue permits for work activities.
Manage on-site training sessions upon request.
Provide feedback on lessons learned from projects.
Offer recommendations for future improvements.
Maintain all safety records, including safety committee meetings, audits, and statistics for inspections by JKKP or other authorities.
Implement and improve safety plans on-site regularly.
Perform any other duties as instructed by management.
Advise the Project Director on safety issues related to the project.
Job Requirements:
Possess a valid Green Book recognized by DOSH.
Hold a Diploma or Degree in a related field.
Have at least 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction, with high-rise building experience considered an advantage.
Be a good team player, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
