Job description

Safety & Health Officer - Based in Kulim

To conduct safety and health induction, assist safety briefing or on-the-job training at the production floor.

To carry out workplace safety, 6S housekeeping, health & hygiene programs, and sustainable initiatives.

To assist the safety and health committee in workplace inspections to ensure compliance with applicable Acts and regulations.

Maintain the OHS Management System according to company, DOSH, and international standards.

Ensure all legal and inspection requirements by DOSH are met and completed within the planned schedule.

Investigate near-misses and accidents, and submit reports to management.

Perform daily safety patrols to identify unsafe acts and conditions, issue reports, follow up on corrective actions, and track recurring issues.

Prepare charts for accidents, near misses, occupational poisoning, diseases, and false alarms for the fiscal year.

Conform to HSSE Policy, Quality Policy, Legal Compliance, and other policies enforced by the company.

Ensure the Behavioral-Based Safety approach is used and maintained at all times.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage for communication with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
• 3-4 years of experience in factory or construction site safety management.
• Willing to work in Kulim, Kedah.
