A leading engineering firm in Johor Bahru seeks a Health, Safety & Environment Manager to oversee compliance with safety regulations and manage safety practices across all work sites. The role involves training employees, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining HSE documentation to ensure workplace safety.
Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to, regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
Ensure all environmental, safety, and health (EHS) procedures and reporting comply with local regulations such as the Department of Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), Ministry of Health, BOMBA, NIOSH, EQA, UBBL, to analyze the workplace, assess risks, and make recommendations for preventive measures to maximize workplace safety.
Advise the Director on regulatory compliance requirements concerning Occupational Safety and Health issues.
Plan, assign, and supervise safety matters and requirements across all work sites.
Take the lead in managing and monitoring project Health, Safety & Environment from start to finish.
Investigate injuries, illnesses, and non-injury incidents, and report findings to management.
Conduct health and safety induction training programs for all employees as required.
Develop and maintain EMS documentation, including environmental manuals, procedures, and records.
Maintain up-to-date HSE records, data, and documents, including proper safekeeping durations.
Ensure proper safety/warning signage is in place.
Perform any other duties as directed by the superior.
