Job summary
A leading company in the construction industry seeks a Safety & Health Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Safety & Health, extensive experience in safety supervision, and strong communication skills. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety supervision in construction.
- Registered competent Safety & Health Officer with valid GREEN BOOK.
- Language proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin is an advantage.

Job Requirements:
- Masters / Degree / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or equivalent / relevant disciplines
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety supervision and implementation in the building construction industry, with a proven track record of completing projects with quality safety standards
- Registered competent Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH) – must possess a valid GREEN BOOK
- Knowledge in property and construction terminology, high-rise construction, security, and environmental management
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, with good communication and strong problem-solving skills
- Language requirements: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin (an advantage)
Job Description:
- Plan, propose, implement, enforce, and review the EHS system to ensure a safe and healthy environment
- Investigate and review accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, or occupational diseases, and report to DOSH in accordance with OSH Regulation 2004
- Maintain records of amendments or new laws/regulations related to EHS, advise management on necessary actions, and communicate updates to employees
- Act as the point of contact with regulating bodies such as DOSH, DOE, and BOMBA
- Participate in safety and health committee activities
- Attend safety meetings, briefings, and audits at the workplace
- Prepare reports for management, clients, or authorities
- Promote safety awareness among all employees and clarify their responsibilities towards safety
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and work with management to develop recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Handle all safety and health-related matters
