Qualifications

  • Preferably 2 years as SHE practitioner; OSHC certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 is preferred.
  • Willing to travel, work on shift, and support after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards.
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses.
  • Support Safety & Health Committee programs.
  • Analyze and track safety statistics.
  • Organize annual emergency drills and safety inductions.
  • Liaise with authorities on SHE compliance.
  • Manage PPE inventory and safety equipment.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and reporting.

Position Overview:

The SHE Specialist will administer workplace health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulations (OSHA, local laws). Responsibilities include inspections, incident investigations, data management, emergency preparedness, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards (machinery, equipment, processes).
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses; maintain records/reports.
  • Support Safety & Health Committee programs and act as committee administrator.
  • Analyze and track safety statistics (accidents, incidents, trends).
  • Organize annual emergency drills and contractor safety inductions.
  • Liaise with authorities on SHE compliance and environmental matters.
  • Manage PPE inventory and safety equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain documentation/filing systems for audits and reporting.
  • Assist in ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 implementation (preferred).
  • Address pandemic emergencies (e.g., COVID-19 protocols).
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree in occupational safety & health (preferable).
