Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy in Shah Alam is looking for a SHE Manager to develop and implement safety and environmental policies. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, relevant certifications, and at least 5 years of experience in SHE management. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, along with analytical and training abilities. This position requires working hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHE management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SHE legal requirements and relevant ICOPs.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SHE policies and procedures.
  • Manage the SHE Committee and facilitate regular meetings.
  • Conduct and coordinate risk assessments (HIRARC), routine safety and environmental audits and assessments.
  • Lead and coordinate incident investigation and ensure timely closure of incident reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and legal SHE regulations (OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, Fire Service 1988, etc) and ensure stay updated on relevant latest amendment.
  • Develop, coordinate and conduct SHE training matrix and program for employees at all levels.
  • Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness within the organization.
  • Monitor and analyse SHE performance metrics and provide reports to senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (BOMBA, DOE & DOSH) and ensure timely submission of required reports (mykkp and e-SWIS).
  • Oversee the maintenance and replenishment of safety equipment and supplies.
  • Liaise with headquarters for latest best practices and requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate SHE considerations into business operations.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification by DOSH/NIOSH will be added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHE management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SHE legal requirement and relevant ICOPs’.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage)
