Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor is seeking a Safety Coordinator cum Production Assistant to manage production activities and ensure workplace safety. The ideal candidate should have a Certificate or Diploma in Safety & Health and at least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or construction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a good understanding of WSH/DOSH Acts are essential. This role includes daily management of production, QC inspections, and the enforcement of safety policies.

Qualifications

Safety Coordinator cum Production Assistant

Applicant must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Safety & Health, Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) or equivalent.

Candidate should have a pleasant disposition with good interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills and proven ability to interact and deal effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Ability to work independently and in collaboration with Heads of Department.

Minimum of 3 years of working experience in manufacturing and construction environments.

Good understanding of relevant WSH / DOSH Acts and other compliance requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities, reports, and documentation; ensure equipment is maintained and production schedules are met.
• Conduct QC of products, site inspections, identify potential hazards, and assess risks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Enforce safety regulations, such as MOM/DOSH requirements in Malaysia.
• Ensure all workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Implement measures to address safety and health issues in the workplace.
• Communicate closely with site operations and other staff on all safety matters.
• Carry out any other duties as instructed by superiors or Management from time to time.
