Job summary

SK Nexilis Malaysia, a leader in battery copper foil and FCCL, is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment professional to support SHE programs, risk assessments, training, incident investigations and ISO 45001 compliance.

The role focuses on inspections, emergency response, documentation, and regulatory enforcement across the factory, reporting to management and ensuring a safe workplace for all staff.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any field.
• At least 2–3 years experience in Safety, Health and Environment Management.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in SHE documentation and report writing (e.g., Excel, PPT, Words, etc.).
• SHO / OSH Coordinator / Site Safety Supervisor is an added advantage.
• Experience in ISO 45001:2018, Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
• Possess any other safety-related certifications or competencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspection and patrolling across the company’s premises and BP working areas.
• Carry out duties as required in the SHE Committee.
• Conduct Risk Assessment for workplace activities to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to verify compliance and enforcement.
• Assist in conducting regular SHE trainings and promote awareness of workplace safety, emergency response procedures, and safe work practices among employees at all organizational levels.
• Assist to ensure Process Safety Management (PSM) is in place (operating and managing process safety reports).
• Assist in ISO 45001:2018 certification management, enforcement, execution, and implementation follow up.
• Assist in the implementation of general or special health screening, and management of employees with symptoms in accordance with SHE Health Management.
• Assist in maintaining safe workplace or facility and ensure that the factory is in compliance with all occupational SHE regulatory requirements.
• Assist with applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational safety and health, fire safety, including requirements set by DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, and other relevant authorities.
• Assist with the implementation and enforcement of Business Partner Management.
• Assist with the Emergency Response Management activities and plan executions.
• Ensure that the personal protective equipment or clothing provided for the purpose of preventing risks to safety and health is worn or use by all employees at all times where applicable.
• Execute and enforce the implementation of SHE system rules, regulation, requirements and procedure.
• Execute and enforce SOP in relation to Pandemic or National Disaster Control as required by the company or by the legal authorities.
• Provide on-site assistance in ensuring accidents are investigated and reported according to company procedures.
• Any other Ad-hoc duties as required by the management.
