Safety and Security Manager - Shopping Mall #ONA15#

Our client from the Retail Property Management industry, based in Johor Bahru, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Safety and Security Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the organization from potential threats, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to uphold safety, security, and operational standards, and continuously monitor the risk landscape to minimize negative impacts.
  3. Manage risk knowledge training, oversee audits, maintain records, and coordinate with the Emergency Response Team to handle emergencies according to the Emergency Management Plan.
  4. Investigate and report incidents, recommend resolutions, and address suspected fraudulent or unethical behavior.
  5. Oversee the safety and security budget, support sustainability initiatives, and contribute to long-term organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health/Safety or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in a compliance role within the retail or related industries.
  2. At least 3+ years of experience in a managerial position.
  3. Strong ability to understand local market conditions and business dynamics, with expertise in security and safety systems, and the ability to influence profit and loss through effective actions.
  4. Proficient in data and trend analysis to identify risks and improve performance, with advanced MS Office skills.
