Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health policies and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant authorities and regulations.
3. Safety Inspections and Risk Assessments:
4. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
5. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
6. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
7. Safety Culture Promotion:
8. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
9. Equipment and PPE Maintenance:
10. Ensure all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are properly maintained and used.
11. Regulatory Compliance and Updates:
12. Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
13. Ensure compliance and proactive risk management.
14. Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., DOSH, NIOSH, DOE, BOMBA, MOH, JKJR) to ensure all legal requirements are met.
15. Additional Duties:
16. Perform any other duties as instructed by the Site Manager.

Requirements and Skills:

1. Valid Green Book registered with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH).
2. At least three (3) years of working experience at a construction site.
3. Familiar with standard concepts and best practices for construction or environmental safety and administration.
4. Willing to travel within Johor Bahru.
