Your new role

• As a General Ledger professional, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements, and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
• Your key duties will include preparing and maintaining various sub-accounting functions, including journal entries, prepayments/accruals, fixed assets, and project accounting transactions, while ensuring compliance with established rules and regulations.
• You will handle monthly closure processes, produce financial statements such as profit & loss, cash flow, and balance sheets, and resolve any discrepancies.
• You will manage financial systems to maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulations.
• Additionally, you will be liaising with external auditors and tax agents for tax filing activities (VAT, GST, annual tax return, and statutory audit), providing recommendations to resolve discrepancies.
• You will also be involved in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting operations.

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management within IT or project environments, driving effective financial oversight.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen focus on detail and precision.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
• Proficient in financial systems and tools, including SAP, BPC, and Power BI (desirable).
• Proven ability to manage tasks independently, while promoting teamwork and fostering collaborative environments.
