Description

Job Summary The Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing the substrate manufacturing equipment and Automation implementation/Integration. This role combines hands‑on Equipment ownership and operational excellence with applied engineering analysis, ensuring consistent equipment stability, product quality, yield improvement, and Capacity Improvement and OEE. The engineer will also contribute to data‑driven research and improvement initiatives to advance equipment capability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements. Assist in designing, testing, and implementing automation solutions, including hardware and software components. Support the integration of control systems, sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance. Document project progress, technical specifications, and outcomes for future reference and compliance. Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve system capabilities. Deliver Factory/Equipment digitalization solution and IIOT proliferation. REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Candidates from Computer Science with exposure and interest in Hardware and encouraged to apply. Proficiency in SolidWorks , or equivalent engineering software will be added advantage. Programming skills: C++ , Python, SQL, PLC will be added advantage. Knowledge in Communication Protocol, Hardware Software Interface, Analog/Digital signal processing will be added advantage. Experience in technical report writing , field data collection, equipment condition assessment and Digital Twin.
