Job summary

Fengshi Metal Technology is seeking a skilled professional to oversee robotic welding operations in Malaysia. You will set up welding parameters, teach robot programs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure welds meet drawings and specs.

The role involves training new welders, developing SOPs, and collaborating with QA/Production to improve productivity and reduce defects.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Welding or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Minimum 2 years robotic welding experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience training operators is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust welding parameters and programs for robotic cells.
• Perform robot teaching and basic program modifications.
• Troubleshoot robotic welding issues and optimize cycle time.
• Perform MIG/TIG welding when required and ensure quality per drawings.
• Maintain welding consumables and equipment and support QA/Production.
• Develop work instructions and SOPs; provide on-the-job coaching.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Knowledge of MIG, TIG and robotic welding processes.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Familiar with welding symbols and measuring instruments.
• Experience training operators is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
