Job summary

A global leader in lasers and engineered materials is seeking a candidate to oversee the assembly process at their Roadm product lines. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, support data collection, and ensure high-quality production standards. This position requires a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Science/Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience in electronic manufacturing, with a focus on adaptability and strong analytical skills. The role is 100% onsite in Malaysia, Perak, Ipoh.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in electronic manufacturing.
  • Experience with SPC knowledge is a plus.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall assembly process at Roadm product lines (ACD and NSD), as well as the new product and process transfer from Fuzhou.
  • Assist engineers in maintaining process and quality standards, procedures, and control plans.
  • Support engineering builds, activities, and data collection.
  • Monitor line processes, improve quality, and update process instructions and documentation.
  • Support assembly manufacturing documentation such as process specifications, visual aids, manufacturing routes, and work instructions.
  • Coordinate pilot builds to ensure timely completion of new assemblies with optimal resource use.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues related to materials and processes.
  • Ensure process and product yields meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality products/services to customers.
  • Drive technical project tasks to completion according to schedule.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Science/Engineering, preferably in Mechatronics or Mechanical, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in electronic manufacturing.

Skills

  • Proficient in computer skills and basic SPC knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Adaptable to rapid business changes.
  • Experience in high-mix and high-volume manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing and poka-yoke principles is a plus.
  • Willing to work shifts.
