Job summary

Poliklinik Maya 24 Jam is seeking a Resident Medical Officer/General Practitioner to join our growing primary care team in Kota Bharu. You will provide consultations, diagnose, and treat general outpatient cases in a busy clinic.

The role requires MBBS/MD or equivalent, MMC registration, and APC. Experience in private GP practice is a plus, with opportunities for ultrasound skills and minor procedures to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognised medical degree.
• Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Completed compulsory service where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, diagnosis and treatment for general outpatient cases.
• Manage acute and chronic primary care conditions.
• Perform appropriate physical examinations and investigations.
• Manage minor emergencies and perform basic clinical procedures.
• Interpret basic investigations including blood tests, ECG and X-ray where appropriate.
• Provide appropriate referrals and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records.
• Prescribe medications safely and appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with clinic assistants, nurses and other doctors.
• Follow clinic SOPs, clinical governance and patient safety standards.
