DOO you have what it takes?

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Risk Management Specialist to oversee and manage the risk exposure of our trading operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial trading, financial markets, and risk management frameworks. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure the stability and profitability of our trading activities.

What you’ll be working on:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain robust risk management frameworks and policies for trading activities.
2. Monitor and analyze market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks associated with financial trading.
3. Continuously monitor trading positions, margin requirements, and exposure limits.
4. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly risk reports for senior management and stakeholders.
5. Identify and escalate potential risk issues in a timely manner.
6. Trading Desk Support:
7. Collaborate with Trading members to ensure compliance with risk limits and trading guidelines.
8. Provide real-time risk assessments and recommendations to optimize trading strategies.
9. Regulatory Compliance:
10. Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
11. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in risk management.
12. Conduct stress tests and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of market shocks on trading portfolios.
13. Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential losses.
14. Utilize advanced risk management tools and software to enhance risk monitoring and reporting capabilities.
15. Work with IT and data teams to improve risk management systems and processes.
16. Mentor and guide junior risk management staff.
17. Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the organization.

What we’re looking for:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a financial trading or brokerage environment.
3. Strong understanding of financial products, financial markets, and trading strategies.
4. Proficiency in risk management tools and platforms (e.g. PXM, OneZero, Bloomberg, Reuters, or proprietary systems).
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with traders, senior management, and regulators.
7. Trading platform knowledge, e.g., MT4 & MT5
8. Good command of BOTH English and Mandarin (as needed to support Mandarin-speaking customers).
