IIUM Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a Risk and Compliance Executive to assist in establishing and maintaining the Group Risk Management Framework. The role includes tasks related to risk identification, compliance checks, and coordination with governance forums. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and between one to three years of experience in risk management.

Assist in implementing and maintaining the Group Risk Management Framework, policies, and procedures.
Support risk identification, assessment, and documentation processes with business units and subsidiaries.
Maintain and update risk registers and compliance obligation registers for the Group.
Monitor and report key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk trends for tracking and escalation purposes.
Conduct preliminary compliance checks and reviews to ensure operational adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
Assist in developing and updating key governance documents including ABAC Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Code of Ethics, and SOPs.
Support in the coordination and follow-up of internal audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
Track and document risk and compliance incidents, and help monitor resolution actions.
Prepare risk and compliance reports, data summaries, and presentations for Main and Subsidiaries Board, Board Committees and senior management.
Coordinate training sessions, awareness campaigns, and communication of regulatory updates to all staff.
Assist in maintaining proper documentation and version control of Group policies and governance manuals.
Liaise with Risk & Compliance Champions across subsidiaries to gather inputs, updates, and support risk and compliance execution.
Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Audit & Risk Committee and other governance forums.
Utilize basic data analytics (e.g., Excel, ACL Analytics) to support monitoring and reporting activities.
Undertake special assignments, research, or ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Manager or Group Chief Corporate Assurance Officer.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in risk, compliance, governance, internal audit, or corporate assurance.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge in data analytics tools (e.g., ACL) is an added advantage.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
A team player who is proactive, resourceful, and keen to contribute to continuous improvement
Well-versed with the risk management framework, methodologies, and corporate governance practices.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
