RFQ Engineer

Role and responsibilities

RFQ Analysis & Processing

• Review customer RFQs, technical specifications and project requirements.
• Interpret drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials) and product specifications.
• Identify materials, processes and manufacturing requirements for accurate cost estimation.

Cost Estimation & Quotation Preparation

• Perform cost analysis of complex mechanism and labor to determine pricing.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain supplier quotations.
• Prepare & submit competitive and accurate quotations within deadlines

Supplier & Customer Coordination

• Communicate with suppliers for price negotiations and lead times.
• Work closely with sales, procurement and engineering teams to ensure feasibility of quotations.
• Provide technical clarifications and support to customers as needed.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• Preferred work experience in RFQ management, cost estimation, or a related role in manufacturing, prefer machine maker.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for cost estimation.
• Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, MS Excel.
• Goof understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple RFQs simultaneously.
