Job Summary
We are hiring a Retail Design & Visual Merchandising Executive for a 12-month contract in Petaling Jaya. The role covers store openings, renovations, events, VM execution, planogram updates, vendor coordination, and budget management.
Roles & Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Management
- Responsible for design, planning, and project management for new store openings, renovations, revamping, temporary stores, podiums, and events, including visual merchandising.
- Responsible for podiums/events setup and store closures, including quality checks before setup.
- Prepare briefs for new projects and translate them into designs in compliance with brand guidelines.
- Plan, manage, and execute brand staging updates for all POS based on the marketing calendar, ensuring adaptation to brand guidelines.
- Prepare and update planograms for all new launches and openings.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure timely approvals and project deliveries.
- Monitor project status, check and approve materials and colour samples, and ensure site readiness when required.
- Manage procure-to-pay process: request quotes, verify costing, maintain budget control, and request POs to ensure compliance and timely vendor payments.
- Negotiate for best pricing, within the provided budget.
- Support asset tagging documentation and onsite tagging.
- Drive simplicity in processes and design.
- Resolve problems promptly or escalate issues when necessary.
- Provide backup support to team members when required.
Drive Retail Design Excellence

Budget & Asset Management with Audit Compliance
- Maintain strong budget management and accurate inventory forecasting.
- Track spending and inventory usage with excellence.

- Utilize retail box checklist to maximize sustainability in all new openings/podiums/VM initiatives.
- Plan and execute brand recycling programs.
- Facilitate sustainability knowledge-sharing and training for team members and preferred vendors.
- Maximize reuse and recycling efforts.

- Maintain a strong mindset for driving savings and cost efficiency.

- 2–5 years of experience in Retail Design & Visual Merchandising, preferably in the beauty industry.
