Job summary

Valiram Retail in Penang is seeking a full-time Retail Sales Associate to greet customers, present beauty and fragrance brands, and deliver premium service in a luxury retail setting. You will work with leading brands like Rituals, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, and Michael Kors, leveraging product knowledge to inform purchases and upsell while maintaining pristine merchandising and accurate stock.

This role offers staff discounts and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service, preferably in beauty or fragrance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers and colleagues.
• Solid knowledge of beauty and fragrance products and their usage.
• Proven ability to drive sales and meet targets within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and inventory/merchandising attention.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection and provide accurate information on benefits and usage.
• Drive sales and meet or exceed daily and weekly targets through upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and merchandising standards.
• Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and handle transactions accurately.

Job Requirement:

• Previous experience working in a retail or customer service environment, preferably within the beauty or fragrance industry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees.
• Good knowledge of beauty and fragrance products, including their benefits and usage.
• Ability to drive sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage inventory and merchandising.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other retail technology.
• Knowledge of beauty trends and industry developments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in beauty or retail management is a plus.
