Job summary

CRADLE Healthcare SDN BHD in Iskandar Puteri, Johor is hiring a Resident Medical Officer for a full-time role in a busy primary care setting. You will deliver direct patient care, conduct consultations, perform examinations, and develop treatment plans with adherence to clinical guidelines.

You will record detailed medical histories, manage chronic diseases, and collaborate with nurses, senior doctors, and admin staff to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognised university and full registration with the relevant medical regulatory body.
• Graduate medical training programme completion or current enrolment (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in primary care/general practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including medical consultations, examinations and treatment across acute and chronic conditions.
• Take detailed histories and perform thorough clinical assessments.

CRADLE Healthcare SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Medical Officer to join our healthcare team in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills and experience in a dynamic primary care environment. As a Resident Medical Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services to our patients whilst gaining valuable experience in general practice. This position is fundamental to our commitment to providing accessible and comprehensive medical care to the community we serve.

What you'll be doing

• Providing direct patient care including medical consultations, examinations, and treatment across a range of acute and chronic conditions
• Taking detailed patient histories and performing thorough clinical assessments
• Developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices
• Prescribing medications and ordering relevant diagnostic tests as clinically indicated
• Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records for all patient interactions
• Contributing to the management of chronic disease conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions
• Assisting with minor surgical procedures and wound management when required
• Collaborating with senior medical staff, nursing teams, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care
• Participating in clinical training and continuous professional development activities
• Adhering to all relevant clinical guidelines, infection control protocols, and healthcare regulations

What we’re looking for

• A medical degree from a recognised university and full registration with the relevant medical regulatory body
• Recent completion of or current enrolment in graduate medical training programmes (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of primary care principles and general practice management
• Strong clinical examination and diagnostic skills with the ability to make sound clinical judgements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds
• A commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning
• Proficiency in medical record systems and electronic health records
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities
• Professional integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
• Preferred experience in general practice or primary care settings
