Job description

An exciting new opportunity is available for an energetic, enthusiastic, and skilled microbiologist to support the work of the Asian Skin Microbiome Programme 2.0 (ASMP 2.0) based at A*STAR Skin Research Labs. The ASMP 2.0 is a collaborative Singapore-based initiative connecting academic organizations to develop fundamental knowledge on skin microbes and improve skin health strategies. The role will be based at A*STAR Skin Research Labs on the Biopolis campus.

About the programme

The Skin Microbiome and Skin Health programme is a collaborative industry-facing initiative studying skin microbiome interactions with the host. The programme spans multiple institutions, with the role based at Biopolis.

About the role

  • Conduct research on various skin-specific microbes regularly.
  • Work with single and multi-species microbial communities.
  • Perform experiments to understand microbe-microbe and host-microbe interactions.
  • Develop and prepare research papers for novel findings.
  • Support multiple project teams with microbiology-related needs.

Requirements

  • PhD in microbiology, biochemistry, or related field (essential).
  • Ability to plan and execute experimental protocols.
