RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Role

As the Research & Development Manager at MOH PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD, you will be responsible for driving the company's product innovation and development initiatives. Reporting directly to the senior management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's long-term research and development strategy to strengthen its competitive edge in the food technology and safety sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the R&D team to conceptualise, design and develop new food products and safety solutions
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialisation
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing, operations and quality assurance teams to ensure successful product launches
• Monitor industry trends and regulations to ensure the company's product pipeline aligns with evolving customer needs and compliance requirements
• Manage R&D projects, budgets and timelines to deliver high-quality, cost-effective and innovative solutions
• Mentor and develop the R&D team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a research and development role within the food or pharmaceutical industry
• Proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality control, and product formulation
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
