Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead R&D design of home appliances (e.g., vacuum cleaners, air compressors), including concept development, structural design, prototyping, and testing.
2. Optimize product performance (e.g., energy efficiency, noise reduction, durability) through material innovation or technical improvements to reduce costs.
3. Research industry trends (e.g., energy-saving technologies, smart controls) to drive product innovation and patent applications.
4. Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure designs meet mass production feasibility and international standards (UL, CE, Energy Star).
5. Prepare technical documentation (BOM, design specifications, test reports) to support product certification and global market compliance.
6. Participate in cross-functional projects, partnering with Supply Chain to select critical components and evaluate supplier capabilities.
7. Analyze customer feedback and competitor products to propose technical enhancements for market competitiveness.

Requirements

1. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or related fields.
• Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred.

2.Experience:

• 3+ years in R&D of home appliances, consumer electronics, or mechanical products. Experience in vacuum cleaners/air compressors is a plus.
• Familiar with North American product standards and certifications (e.g., UL, FCC, ROHS).

3.Technical Skills:

• Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (ANSYS, CFD).
• Knowledge of material properties (plastics/metals), mold design, and manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping).
• Skilled in DOE, FMEA, and data analysis.
• Experience in embedded systems or IoT technologies is a plus.

4.Language:

• Fluent in Mandarin (team collaboration), technical English proficiency.

5.Others:

• Strong innovative mindset, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to fast-paced R&D environments.
• Team player with cross-cultural communication skills.
