Job summary

Beaconhouse Malaysia is seeking a highly qualified Repairs And Maintenance Technician for Sri Inai International School. The role involves the general upkeep of school facilities, planning, executing maintenance work, and managing contractors. Candidates should have a diploma in engineering and relevant experience in building maintenance, fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with additional advantage for Mandarin.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop an annual Repair and Maintenance Plan for the school facilities.
• Ensure timely execution of maintenance works in line with local regulations.
• Attend to unplanned repairs and maintenance efficiently.

We are looking for a high-caliber Repairs And Maintenance (Technician) to join Beaconhouse Malaysia.

VACANCY:

Repairs And Maintenance (Technician) - Sri Inai International School

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate/Skills in Engineering/Mechanical & Electrical or related Discipline.
• 3-5 years of overall experience.
• The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained with previous experience in building cleaning and maintenance work.
• Understand of building codes.
• Execution and supervision of repairs and maintenance works in accordance with the local by-laws and procedures.
• English & Bahasa Malaysia (Fluent),. Mandarin an added advantage

Key Duties:

General Upkeep of the Building (50%)

• In consultation with the Principal, develop an annual Repair and Maintenance Plan for the physical upkeep of:

- Facilities of the school

- External Area of the school

• Plan the execution of all the approved activities on a timely and cost-efficient basis with quality in accordance with the developed plans and budgets
• Preparation of weekly reports, highlighting any maintenance work to be done, and the status of works already approved and in progress.
• Propose solutions on rectification works. Source for appropriate contractors.
• Source for appropriate contractors, negotiating with them, and supply 3 quotations for works to be done, to be submitted to Functional Manager for approval.

Execution of work (50%)

• Execution of planned works in an efficient and timely manner, and in accordance with any local by-laws, provisions or regulations.
• Ensure that the planned works are carried out in the time frame as agreed with the contractors or as instructed by the Manager, Construction
• Attendance to any unplanned repairs and maintenance works in a timely manner, by developing Cost estimates, sourcing 3 contractors as determined by the quantum of work, awarding the work to the successful contractor, maintaining the quality and timeline for each job approved and in consultation with the Principal.
• Any other task assigned by the management from time to time.
